Pompeo Issues Statement Regarding Meeting on VA Choice at the Dole VA Medical Center

Congressmen Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.) released the following statement regarding his meeting with representatives of Via Christi Hospital and the Dole Veterans Affairs Medical Center to discuss the VA Choice program.

"The responsibility we have to the brave men and women serving in the United States Armed Forces doesn't end when they take off the uniform for the last time. We have a duty to ensure that our veteran's receive timely access to their health care needs even after their service ends. The VA Choice Program plays an important role in fulfilling our commitment to getting veteran's here in Kansas the care they need, when they need it. This meeting served to enhance communication and encourage a collaborative approach between our community health care providers and the Dole VA Medical Center, and I want to thank the staff of both organizations for working together to make sure Kansas veterans receive the best care available."
